Why paperless?

I used to take the train to work. The commute was about an hour each way, so I decided it would be a good idea to take work on the train to make the best use of that time. Student tests, quizzes, papers, etc. would go into a handy dandy little accordion folder complete with a handle on the top.
This system worked pretty well. Then, one day, as I was stepping off the train in Chicago during rush hour, the latch on the folder broke and all of my students work went flying everywhere. It was a total disaster.
So, for the past two years, my classroom has undergone the transformation into a totally paperless learning environment. It has made life easier on me and, more importantly, my students. Everything is available digitally for my students, no matter where they are.
Below I've shared the presentation from a workshop I gave on using Schoology to go paperless. I've also included the individual YouTube videos.
